A terrile value. Olympus (OM Systems) will end up in the dust bin of Micro 4/3. They can't even make menus that are useful.

What's interesting is that a lot of affordable cameras today are shooting 6K, 8K, and even 12K, but the $100K Hollywood camera only shoots 4K.

thanks for your interesting point of view. I got the Canon RF 24-105L IS as a kit lens with my R6II. I just watched your video for some kind of validation and comforting. It is practical for exterior shooting, where you can reframe with ease and it is stable. I'd like a faster lens though, and there is the lack of choice from canon: the small prime lenses are cheap and seem nice and do some macro, but they have a slow autofocus for video. And the pro prime lenses are big and heavy, expensive, but they are faster and have a responsive AF. And the faster zoom lenses are really front heavy, expensive and cumbersome, though good quality. SO there is no perfect lens for my purpose (gimbal work with moving subjects dancing).

Good video! But damn… again Canon cripples itself by mixing a few cool features, with a complete lack of user needed innovation. No stabilization, horrible filters, no cold shoe mount for lavs.

ummm... what hollyland monitor is that??? thats gotta be something that isn't released yet... looks like a 7" .. also , one of the reasons ALEX EV sensors have their look is because of the OLPF design

I personally own two ARRIs (Alexa Mini and Amira), two REDs (Monstro and Ranger Gemini) and four SONYs (two FX6 and two FX3), and each of them truly are different tools for different jobs, all serving their purpose with their individual strengths and weaknesses compared to one another. But man, that Alexa image… 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼

After years of HDSLR (Canon 90d being the latest) I want to upgrade to a slightly better camera. I was looking at Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6k g2, but i'm now thinking THIS PYXIS 6k is t-h-e PERFECT camera for me!! I'm a liiiiitle bummed there is no option for HDMI for my 7" monitor, but time to grow up out of my comfort zone; the BNC is much much more sturdy than HDMI anyway! And using timecode should be easier than the 6k g2. So... win-win. The Mb/sec on 4k resolutions is a little low, but still acceptable (and if I'd need higher bitrate over 250 Mb, i could always shoot 6k). Absolutely love that it can shoot Raw Q0 on the internal Cfexpress card!! Nice using Cfexpress instead of cfast 2.0!!

Alot of the problems he had such as overheating ECT was on the r6 mark one not the mark 2 some of this information is misleading!!!

That's what i love about the Arri cameras. They have an online, virtual menu system that you can learn from. I found that helpful when I got my Alexa Mini certification. I actually got to see how it worked before I got the camera in my hands. It was most helpful. The film looks great!

It's not an irrational fear? If you are hired for a job, you should be the best you can at that job. If the person that hired you knows there's gonna be some learning on site... no foul. There are so many different levels of knowledge in every direction.

Hello, there is no prores 8K in the Z8 it is max 4K UHD 60P, 8K is h.265 or 8.3k n-raw, and the Z8 can work on the same datarate as your a7RV h.265 8K is exactly 400mbps 4.2.0 some same specs, but the z8 can do raw too, so it is not data ungry if you don't want to and has no crop in 8K and 4K OS

I know that its made for vlogging, but they should have included some more photo modes, and also timelapse.

Beautifully shot review. I def think this is the best choice for beginner photographers over the x100. I think being a full frame interchangeable lens camera makes it exponentially more dynamic than a fixed lens APSC camera. The LUTs are great, but adapting some affordable vintage lenses will give your photography and video a natural unique flavor, that people are obviously craving right now. The full frame lenses they collect will work perfectly with a larger, more expensive camera body if they decide to upgrade in the future.

Hmmmmm A7R IV ($3,900) vs R6 Mark ii ($2,000)? Well I would hope it performs better. Right now Canon has nothing in the $4K price range. They do have the R3 right now at $4,500 or the R5 at $2,800 but that is a pretty old camera. Don't get me wrong I am certain that the Sony A7R IV is an amazing camera but lets be real it is twice as much money as an R6 Mark ii so it should be much better.

"Long ago" I bought the Sony a6400, and although I have seen comparisons between the newer a6400 and ZVE10, I noted the differences but that was about it. Now looking at your M50 & R50 comparison, I noticed something that surprised me. The a6400 gave a video look that I associated with Canon, while the ZVE10 looked more traditional Sony. Now, looking at your M50 & R50 comparison (right after watching the Sony comparison), I noted that both outputted video more traditionally Sony-ish (darker shadows, more contrasty) Huh? Ok, now I'm surprised. I don't know what comes out of the HDMI port of the a6400 -- maybe you can record 10-bit, but I have never tried, but how does the a6400 internal video look more Canon than a Canon? Забавная камера. Помимо кучи возможностей, она еще и снимает часто красивее, чем в реальности глазами видишь. Не в смысле каких то изощренных цветов. А в том, что детали прорисовывает так, что бледный выцветший рисунок на поверхности вдруг становится новее и обнаруживаешь, что старая вещь была красива. А так да - я взял с собой эту камеру одну. И комплекта мне хватает на кучу сценариев. Зума не хватает иногда, да. Но не все сразу...

Ну, держать камеру в кармане без чехла я боюсь. Очень хрупкая.

Just bought the r6 mk2 to go with my c70… stuck in the canon eco system since the 5D mk2 days have about 10 lenses from l series zooms to nice primes and costing out the swap to sony with similar kit is £15-£20k vs just bought the r6 mk2 for £2k …. It’s gonna be a while before I want to commit a swap! Plus I must say having previously shot on an fs7 SLOG3 isn’t as nice as CLOG2 in my opinion, maybe I’m wrong but I used to have more issues with the colours on Sony. Shame the r6 only has clog 3 it does seem a shame as non of the cinema line up have as good AF

i did look at this and ordered the xt50, too many limitations for the £1500 price point. Yes i know its not FF, but really not an issue, but its small, has a good array of small lens options, and an evf. I thought £1300 was high, but still less than £1500 with lower features.

I found the opposite and left Sony for Canon. Rolling shutter etc is terrible on a7rv also no point in having an electronic shutter on a7r5. Frames per second also very very poor on Sony

7:37 i agree that it can be annoying to take an ssd. But it is way smaller as the pocket 3. especially if you velcro it to your phone. That is also an even stronger point not to take the Pocket 3, since you already have your phone with you and would have to carry the Pocket 3 as well

7:26 why would i enjoy taking an extra stick with me just to film myself if i could just use my phone? You don’t explain why, you just state that it is the case for you.
